Muscat - Oman, 11 November 2017: The 9th Middle East Artificial Lift Form (MEALF) will be held on 10-12 December 2019 in Muscat, Oman under the patronage of H.E. / Eng. Salim Bin Nasser Al Aufi - Undersecretary of Ministry of Oil & Gas. Expecting an audience of over 400 industry professionals, the three-day event will focus on the increasing use of artificial lift technologies in oil production operations throughout the Middle East region. With around 150 papers expected to be submitted by technical experts of the industry and a representation of over 25 countries by around 40 exhibitors, MEALF 2019 is emerging as the only dedicated event for the artificial lift industry in the region, and it will provide an opportunity for networking with industry professionals, top executives and decision makers.

Taking place after every two years, MEALF plays an important role in providing the best technical solutions while promoting knowledge sharing and creating a best practice centre to meet the future needs of the industry. The forum will consist of an exhibition, a conference and various workshops. The exhibition will showcase all the equipment, technologies and services related to artificial lift operations. It will also keep delegates abreast with the latest products and the newest technologies that are now available in the market.

The conference will consist of highly informative presentations and forum discussion sessions that will feature high-profile speakers focusing on all aspects of artificial lift as an important component of oil production activities. Bringing together the best technical specialists under one roof, the conference will focus on documenting excellent learning case studies and best practices in artificial lift topics, thus providing first-hand information on key issues and developments.

The presentations will be carefully selected by renowned individuals in the oil and gas industry, thus delivering an exciting program with sessions focusing on “New Technology,” “Artificial Lift Design,” “Automation, Surveillance & Optimization,” “Complex Systems,” “Harsh Environment,” “Reliability & Failure Analysis,” “Artificial Lift Challenges and Best Practices”.

The forum will also include an entire day of pre-forum training workshops to be held on the 10th of December 2019. These workshops will be conducted by leading experts from the industry and they will feature various topics including gas lift, electrical submersible pumps, artificial lift selection, and sucker rod technologies.

The ninth edition of MEALF will witness an initiative of being a ‘Green Event’ where the use of paper will be discouraged throughout the duration of the forum. To do so, each delegate will be provided with an iPad that has full access to the MEALF App. It will contain all information regarding the event and will be easily accessible by all the participants, since it will be available on all iOS devices.

Other new initiatives of MEALF 2019 include the involvement of the youth in the oil and gas industry by giving free access to students in both the exhibition and forum. Not only will they learn from the leading experts in the field, but they will also be given the chance to exhibit their projects at the reserved space in the exhibition. Students will be expected to receive support from international and regional companies with regards to honing their skill sets and receiving counselling for future opportunities.
